Powder Horn

Hopefully you have already checked out the Powder Horn website* to see the schedule of course across the country and reports on previous courses. In case you are not familiar with Powder Horn, it is a 7-day course (also offered in the weekend variety) on high adventure resources. It is not a personal development course like Wood Badge or even a skills course. What it will do is let you experience many high adventure skills, learn where to get the resources to support high adventure programs, and how to offer those programs in such an exciting, out-of-the-box way that teens will keep coming back to meetings and activities. There is also a Course Directors' course to be held at the Sea Base February 5-12, 2002. Cost is $500.
* The Powder Horn website, located at www.powderhorn-bsa.org is privately operated. Its content may not follow official policies and procedures of the BSA, and any opinions expressed on any third-party site do not revlect official concurrence.
