Updated BSA Registration Form

Updated Leaders and Promotion Guide

1.  Please be aware that we have a limited number of participant slots available.  We will accept only the first 500 Girl Scouts and the first 500 Boy Scout who register due to space limitation at Ed Levin County Park. Be sure to register early to ensure the opportunity to participate in this fantastic activity.

2.  Please note that acceptance of the Registration application is contingent on each unit hosting an activity event station.

3.  The process for parking at Ed Levin County Park is different from other County Parks. There is no charge for vehicle entry if one is only dropping off or picking up attendees. If any car is going to be parked for the night, one must purchase a parking sticker for $6.00 at the entrance Kiosk.

If an adult is on trail, they will not be permitted to drive home after the event unless a minimum of 4 hours of sleep has occurred during the night, for safety reasons. Please ensure alternate drivers are present for dropoff and pickup.

4.  Check out the flyers and information packets available. There is much information in the Leader’s Guide!

What is Nite Hike?

Nite Hike is an adventure for both Boy and Girl scouts that runs overnight at a County Park in Santa Clara County. Participants test their skills on hopefully 25+ fun and skill-testing stations Camporee style, all hosted by participating troops. The event runs all night. Be prepared to deal with any weather condition. Participants must bring water, a cup and snacks in addition to flashlight with extra batteries. Hot chocolate and hot dogs may be available at one station.

Cost

Cost is $8.00 per youth. First two adults per unit are free. Everyone on trail must be registered. Pre-registration is required however payment can be made on site if adding or deleting hikers, youth and adults. Please bring exact change.

Registration

Begins at 5:00PM. Depending on the registration process and event station setup, trail entry may begin at 6:30-7:00 PM (depending on how much sunlight there is, after all this is a ‘Nite Hike’).

You must de-register before 6:00AM. If you do not check out at the registration area before you leave we will assume you are lost and will send safety personnel to find you. There is no requirement to complete the hike, you can check out anytime. Consider the possibility of leaving early when arranging transportation.

Note: Advanced registration is mandatory. Walk-ins will not be accepted. One can however change the number of participants pre-registered upon check-in.
